Vas much confusion; for a number of mombers of the original Chinoso Parliament, which had been trico dissolved, but of which the fugitive members (wherever thoy met) claimed to be the sole ropogitories of "constitutional" government, came to Canton and on the 25th August, 1917, convened an Ixtraordinary Assombly in that city. Subsequently on the 10th December, 1917, the Pcking Goverment designated Lung Tsci-krong to supersedo Luk long-t'ong as generalissimo of the Lion, luong provincos. Ho crossed from Hainan island to the mainland, but vas defeated and fled in May, 1918, to the Fronch torritory of Khong-chau-van and thence to Poking. He never revisited Kran-tung and ho has since died,
